First Working Game Of The Year, At New Meadow, Shrewsbury

It was nice to get back to a working game this afternoon, when I travelled to Shropshire for a friendly.

The fixture, between Shrewsbury Town Women FC and The New Saints FC Women, was at New Meadow, also known as Montgomery Waters Meadow, for sponsorship purposes.

Although I’ve seen games between the two on the main pitch, today’s fixture was on the 3G facility alongside the stadium.

That was even better because it was a new tick. It’s actually the fourth home venue that I’ve seen a Shrewsbury Town side play at.

The game ended 2-1 to Shrewsbury and below there’s a video I recorded plus post-match interviews with TNS’ manager, Andy Williams, and goal scorer, Lucie Platt.

I also wrote a match report for the TNS FC website.
