No angling yesterday but I was up early this morning and on a small brook as the day broke.
I do enjoy fishing for sticklebacks, and catching them by design with a rod and reel, is extremely rewarding.
I did bank some decent ones in the short session, but also a few tiny fish, as per the lead image.
Normally, anglers use their biggest fish for the main shot. In this case I’m going the opposite way.
There is something special about the mini-species anyway but when you catch the smaller end of the category, even more so.
You can follow the session in the video, where I go through the tackle used as well.
