After two successive visits to the River Severn in pursuit of chub, I stayed with the species this time round, except on a different venue.
Fishing a canal, I went up to dark in the early stages of Arwen, the latest named storm to hit the United Kingdom.
There’s worse to come in the next few hours but for now it’s not too bad.
Certainly, it won’t stop me fishing and neither will it later either.
On this occasion I had a few bream plucks but no chub.
I had a very close encounter with a rat though. Horrible aren’t they?
As an angler, I imagine you’ve had your fair share of tales to tell as well. I have.
