As They Say, Variety Is The Spice Of Life – Late Afternoon On The Staffs/Worcs Canal

Although I’m very limited at the moment due to the ‘keep it local’ requirement of the lockdown, nevertheless I’m still enjoying my visits to the local canal very much indeed.

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. 

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot. 

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18. 

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single white maggot on the hook
