Fishing On Boxing Day

I had too much to eat on Christmas Day, but judging from the lack of people out and about this morning, I think many took advantage of the one day they could get together by adding lots of alcohol in the mix as well.

Although it is Boxing Day, it reminded me very much of New Year’s Day, where you don’t start to see people until well into the morning.

You can follow today’s session via the video below, with the tackle that I fished with listed after that.

I fished with a Greys G Lite spinning rod (4-8lb) and a Shimano DL2500FA reel.

Maxima Chameleon 4lb reel line went straight through and the hook length was created by a 5mm bead and a size 6 shot.

The lead was a 1/4 ounce bomb.

Single red maggot was fished on a Drennan Super Specialist size 16 hook. I fished the boat channel on a local canal.
