In Half A Century Of Angling This Has Never Happened Before, It’s Now Occurred Twice In One Session – Back On The Trail Of The Three-Spined Stickleback

I enjoyed myself so much stickleback fishing recently, that I returned to the venue for another session after the species.

Although you often get a pike that will grab a fish that you’re playing, they usually let go in the end, so you don’t necessarily net the two together.

As far as two fish landed on one bait at the same time is concerned though, this is a first for me. In fact, it happened twice. There’s more in the video below.

The tackle I fished with was as follows: Poachers Pocket mini-rod and reel. Reel line was 4lb Maxima Chameleon, leading to Ultima Virage 1lb 6oz fluorocarbon, joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was hand-made and the hook was a Drennan Super Specialist micro barbed size 18. Bait was a single red maggot.
