I do a lot of jigging for perch, and apart from the fact that I really enjoy it anyway, it’s a great way to get lots of extra angling sessions in when time is limited.
You can follow the latest fishing trip via the video below, and as always, I don’t mention the venue but if you know, you know.
I often have a motivational chat to the camera while fishing. This time, inspired by the wearing of TNS FC clothes, I share thoughts on what we post on the internet.
In particular, it’s about association. More of that in the video. I’ve had a couple of messages recently where anglers have both said that they enjoy my ‘mini-sermons’ (their words) while out fishing.
Talking of fellow piscators, I have a chat with one in the video. I only met Rob Westwood recently – on the bank – when he said he followed my blog entries.
It’s always nice when that happens, and I know from the healthy statistics, that I’m not talking or writing to myself.
The tackle I fished with was as follows: Fox Rage Ultron drop shot rod, Fox Rage Ultron 2500 reel, 10lb Sunline braid on reel.
Fox Rage Illusion fluorocarbon 10lb 3oz (2 metres) joined to the braid with a small swivel.
Fox Rage micro jig head 1g size 4 hook. Berkley powerbait 2 inch rubber minnow. All knots (3) blood knots.
