Welcome To Penn Common, Staffordshire – A Birding Walk Around One Of My Childhood Haunts

Growing up on the very edge of Sedgley, with countryside over the road from where I lived, my love of nature was birthed and nurtured courtesy of the environment.

One of my favourite places to be was Penn Common, and it was nice to go back again, this time for a birding walk.

You can see the scenery courtesy of the video below, plus my thoughts on the great outdoors having a positive effect on your mental health.

Birds seen were: house sparrow, magpie, wood pigeon, house martin, starling, blackbird, great tit, dunnock, common buzzard, carrion crow, linnet, blue tit, jackdaw, jay, blackcap, robin, great spotted woodpecker, lesser whitethroat, goldfinch, chiffchaff, swallow.
