My Last Football Interview For A While – Connor Roberts On The FAW Youth Cup, Wales C And Aberystwyth Town

The New Saints FC, like the rest of Welsh football and beyond, is on hold until May at the earliest. Prior to everything coming to a halt though, early last week in the penultimate training session for the champions of Wales at Park Hall, I chatted with Wales U-21 international goalkeeper, Connor Roberts.

With six appearances at that level, his last cap came in 2014, the same year that he received a call-up for the senior side when they played the Netherlands.

We discussed international football this time as well, in particular the Wales C v England C fixture as Connor was in the squad, although the game has since been cancelled. In addition, we talked the recent FAW Youth Cup semi-final, and his current loan period at Aberystwyth Town.

This will be my last football-related interview for a while due to the present situation. My blog entries will continue though, so on that front it will be business as usual.
