Bream And Perch From A Short Canal Session – Personal Thoughts On The Coronavirus Situation

Things have moved very quickly as far as the Covid-19 situation is concerned. Naturally, my own thoughts will be shared on an ongoing basis via my blog entries. It is Welcome To My World after all, and it’s something that has a direct bearing upon mine and everyone else’s life.

I’m now working from home, as The New Saints FC office and stadium has closed. I’m following wider developments quite closely and I’m able to keep away from people in general.

As the government hasn’t ordered a total lockdown – yet, anyway – I’m still able to fish. I get in the car on my own, drive alone and fish by myself, so I’m not having any immediate contact with any other person. I don’t consider that to be irresponsible.

I did notice from the video that I cough twice and I can imagine that also caught the attention of other people. That will happen on a regular basis now, in life in general, with a cough, sneeze or some other related manifestation being immediately picked up on.

I’m doing what I can, being sensible and responsible. I’m not living in fear either though and I’m certainly not panicking. Within the framework of being realistic, stay positive.

PS. Things are moving very quickly indeed and a pre-publishing PS means that the government has now introduced pretty much a lockdown. Although they’re allowing exercise once a day, that would be stretching things to include fishing.

Normally, my blog entries are as they happen, but as I don’t post holiday ones until I get back home, hence I’m still clawing back a week, and it does become apparent just how fast the situation is progressing. Anyway, I’ll still be blogging fishing but more of a memory lane approach until further notice.

You can watch my latest angling session via the video below.

Welcome to my website, blogging life’s journey from a personal perspective. There’s more information on the home page.  You can comment below, I look forward to hearing from you.
