Disappointment And Frustration Come The Final Whistle. Post-Match Interview With Scott Ruscoe, Following The Newtown AFC Defeat.

Interviews following a victory are always the best, of course, but regardless of the scoreline, working in football media it’s all about making sure that you have content come the final whistle.

The 2-1 defeat at home to Newtown AFC wasn’t the result that The New Saints wanted and I started by asking Scott Ruscoe, as manager, what his emotions were.

One thing I like about in-house media is that you’re not expected to goad the manager to try and get a reaction. In fact, quite the opposite. As you can see from the interview below, after addressing the game itself, we moved on to the positive that TNS FC is still top of the pile after MD23 in the JD Cymru Premier.

Then, finally, we looked ahead to the next fixture. With nine league games to go, the finishing line is in sight, but with the reigning champions edging it by just one point at the moment, it’s all very close indeed.
