It Might Not Be 10-1 But 2-0 Is Still Three Points. Dean Ebbe Thinks He’s Neil Warnock.

The last time The New Saints played Aberystwyth Town, back in August, it was a convincing 10-1 victory for the reigning champions, as we hit double-figures on the road at Park Avenue.

This time round it was a more modest 2-0 at Park Hall. However, whether it’s a narrow margin or a thumping win, it’s still three points come the final whistle. In addition, as this was just our third clean sheet in the league so far this season, you could argue there was just as much to be positive about.

It was a dominant performance from TNS, especially in the first half, and goals from Keston Davies (3) and Ryan Brobbel (42), ensured that a comfortable lead was established come the break. Aberystwyth had more of the ball in the second period but were unable to get themselves back into the game as far as the scoreline was concerned.

Prior to kick-off, I went into the home dressing room, as I often do, to get some video footage and you can watch that below, via the embedded tweet. If you’ve seen the well-shared video of Neil Warnock staring into the camera, you’ll know what I mean by the headline.

This was my 44th game of the season and you can visit my groundhopping pages here.
