Tipton Remembers – Remembrance Sunday Parade.

The parade that goes through Tipton, on its way to Victoria Park for the service, passes close to Tipton Family Church. We always make sure that we are able to leave the building, and stand in respect, as the parade goes by.

That’s yesterday’s that you can see via the video below. As a church we devote the whole of our service to the theme of remembrance, including the playing of The Last Post following the 11.00 a.m. silence.

In addition, Andy, who has served in the forces himself, reads out the names of the men from Park Methodist Church (the building that we use) who lost their lives in the Great War. There is a framed sheet at church with the names on.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

Lest we forget.
