Following training at Park Hall with The New Saints FC’s first team, we conducted an interview with Connor Roberts. The Wales U-21 international is currently out on loan with fellow JD Cymru Premier side, Aberystwyth Town.
He’s been doing very well of late, making the league’s top five team for the last three weeks. We asked him about that, as well as his coaching role with TNS FC’s Academy.
Then there was a guest appearance from Simon Spender, another example of player banter. You can’t underestimate this, it’s an essential ingredient in the positive energy that a team needs to create.
We did the interview in one of the basement rooms at The Venue, where the club is based. As you can see from the images on the wall behind us as we chatted, there’s lots of history there.
