After six friendlies for The New Saints FC, the rubber hit the road as the champions of Kosovo played their first UEFA Champions League game outside of the country.
It was 0-0 at the break, but then, with less than a quarter of an hour to go, Wales’ representative in Europe’s senior competition established a 2-0 lead, as Aeron Edwards’ goal from close range followed on from the earlier penalty from Greg Draper.
However, we all know what football is like, and two very late goals from the Kosovans saw them the happier come the final whistle, as they took a 2-2 draw into the second leg.
