Adding Stevie Wonder’s ‘I Just Called To Say I Love You’ To My Vinyl Collection. It Took Me Back To 1977. Growing Up In The Golden Years Of Soul Music.

I have a vinyl collection and you can check that out via one of the links below. As you can see in the video, it isn’t a large number of records, purely and simply from how I gather them along the way.

Nevertheless they all mean something to me, especially as I was there when they first appeared. Granted, for most of the 1960’s I was only a child but still it’s true to say that I grew up in the golden years of soul music.

Memories are special and as soon as I saw the label on the latest addition to my vinyl collection, it randomly took me back to 1977, when I bought Smokey Robinson’s ‘Theme From Big Time’ on 45.

It’s actually the first single that I’ve got in my collection as it’s been about albums so far. As it was a gift from my eldest daughter though, I’m not exactly going to turn it down. Plus, it’s Motown, and that’s good enough for me.
