Bream, Perch And Ruffe On The Canal. Another Short Visit, But As Long As Your Bait’s In The Water You’ve Got A Chance. (1211)

I’ve done a lot of canal fishing of late as it has tied in nicely with what’s been going on elsewhere in my life. I don’t always have the time to do lengthy sessions, due to other commitments, so I make do with a flying visit to the canal to feed the fishing bug.

The most important thing though is to be flexible and adapt to circumstances. Yes, I would love to get out more – especially so in terms of more time spent at the water’s edge – but as things stand at the moment, that’s not always possible.

Ultimately, work pays the bills for most of us, not fishing, and it’s worth bearing that in mind if we start to feel sorry for ourselves. It’s no good catching a 40lb carp after weeks on the bank if you end up homeless because you didn’t pay the mortgage.

That’s probably an extreme example, and I hope one that’s never happened to anyone, but you get the point I’m making.

So, just another short evening session for me but I enjoyed it and that’s what counts.
