A working day in the Oswestry area, my original plan was to be home by late afternoon and go fishing. However, flexibility is always the key, and with time not working out how I had planned, I went groundhopping instead.
With the Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) still going strong at the end of April, I targeted Rhostyllen FC’s The Rec. Although there were a number of games being played that night, I’d already been to the others on previous groundhopping adventures.
With Cefn Albion the visitors, it was a good game as the hosts ran out 3-1 winners. You can see some of the footage from the match via the video below, including a goal and a penalty save.
The ground was my 200th overall and you can visit my football pages here. It was nice to see Penycae’s first team coach, Steve Monk, again and we watched the action while chatting football.
