Down But Certainly Not Out, As The New Saints Hit Back To Take The Points (1164)

My 90th game of the season was a working one in the JD Welsh Premier League, as Bala Town visited Park Hall. The New Saints had a great chance to take the lead in the first half, but for the second game on the bounce between the sides, Ashley Morris saved a penalty.

It didn’t go well in the second period either for the reigning champions, as the visitors took the lead. However, with a brace from Northern Ireland U21 international, Ryan Brobbel, and a third from Greg Draper, New Zealand international, TNS FC secured the three points.

Back on top of the table by one point and with a game in hand, the club is in the driving seat. With a UEFA Champions League at stake for the winner, I’m hoping the Welsh domestic title once again returns to Park Hall as I do enjoy the European adventures very much.
