I don’t always have the luxury of time to do a ‘proper’ session but as long as I can get some decent time in that’s a very good second best. An hour on the bank is better than not being out at all.
That was the case in this trip to the canal, as I managed a number of small perch and a chub. The video reveals the rig and bait, while I fished over red maggots.
Although we are in the second half of March. it’s gone backwards as far as a month ago is concerned. Having said that though, the end of February was exceptional. Now that the river season has come to a close I’m looking forward to some spring pit fishing for bream, carp and tench.
