With heavy rain hitting the area, courtesy of another named storm, I was just happy to be able to get a game in. I chose the West Midlands Christian League, which is ideal, as all fixtures are 10.30 a.m. on a Saturday morning.
The fixture at Stanley Road Playing Fields in the Stourbridge area was my 87th game and 41st new ground of the season to date.
Although I’m not motivated by ticks, nevertheless it’s always good to make targets as they do challenge and push us, therefore the 100 and 50 that I set at the start of the season are both well and truly in sight.
