My 85th game of the season was a very enjoyable one indeed from a personal perspective, as The New Saints ran out 2-0 winners in the first v second clash in the JD Welsh Premier League.
With Connah’s Quay going into the game top of the table by two points – although The New Saints did have a game in hand – it meant that whoever won would be in the driving seat come the final whistle.
The victory for the visitors means it’s looking good for an eighth consecutive league title, although no-one in the camp is getting carried away. There are several games to go and until it’s mathematically secure, it’s still an open title race.
Nevertheless, it’s good to be sitting at the top of Welsh domestic football. Whether you’re a player, staff or a fan, you want your team to be the best.
The video below gives a behind the scenes insight around the game. The cake that you can see featured by the way is our TNS Radio cake. Made by my wife, Debby, it’s a popular feature and is a way of showing that it’s always better to give than to receive.
