As a football fan, I don’t need the excuse of working just to be at a game. I also enjoy visiting games purely for pleasure, especially when it’s a new venue on the groundhopping journey.
The latest tick on the list is the Stafford Road Sports Ground at Bloxwich, north of Walsall. It’s just a playing field but as far as I’m concerned, whether it’s that or a national stadium (and I’ve been to both this season), they all count.
I really enjoyed the game, which was in the Beacon Football League. The conditions weren’t ideal but both sides played some attractive football.
It was my 84th game of 2018/2019 and my 40th new ground. Visit my groundhopping pages HERE.
