I find that my angling sessions tend to follow a trend, very much based on what I am enjoying at that time. At the moment I’m enjoying fishing for chub with bread and that’s what this visit to the canal was all about.
I also caught bream as well, nothing big but all welcome. On the subject of bream though, although they aren’t on the radar for every angler, I do enjoy targeting them.
Not the smaller canal fish though but their bigger gravel pit brethren. That’s for the spring though, which isn’t that far away, especially if the weather continues as it is at present.
I’m looking forward to cradling some real slabs in front of the camera. For now though, I’m happy to net a few smaller ones from the canal.
