With three games for The New Saints FC in the space of six days, these have been my football food for the last week. Normally I will get another match in midweek to add to my groundhopping list but with Saturday, Tuesday and Friday committed, that was enough.
Plus, they were all away games as well and bearing in mind I live near Wolverhampton, trips to Newtown, Llandudno and Aberystwyth all involve a decent time on the road, never mind the fixture itself.
The final game of the three wasn’t a happy one for us as we lost at Park Avenue for the first time in eleven years. Just a 1-0 defeat, but as far as points are concerned it doesn’t matter whether it’s close or out of sight, you still leave empty-handed.
This was my 56th game of the season and you can view my groundhopping pages HERE
Following the game in Aberystwyth, I interviewed TNS FC manager, Scott Ruscoe, and defender, Simon Spender. You can watch those below.
In addition, my granddaughter was with us for a few days when I got home. Perfect, apart from the result, of course.
