When I talk about a visit to the capital I am invariably referring to Cardiff not London. Although I’m English I am very proud of my Welsh heritage and the two sit very comfortably side-by-side as far as I’m concerned.
The latest journey to Cardiff, like the previous one a few weeks back, was for a football game. Again at Cardiff City Stadium, this time it was for Wales v Republic of Ireland in the Nations League.
I had two tickets so my wife, Debby, came along with me. We arrived in the afternoon, parked the car and then enjoyed a very nice day walking around the centre as well as taking in Cardiff Bay.
Everyone lives their life how they want, so it’s not a criticism at all, but the last thing I want to do is spend all day in a pub drinking before a match. In fact we walked 11.9 miles while in Cardiff, so we certainly got around.
The game itself was great, especially as we won 4-1. I always get something from every game, regardless of the result, but if it does go the way I want then it is definitely the icing on the cake.
The match was the 36th of my season so far and you can check out my groundhopping pages HERE.
