With an hour or so free in the evening, I once more headed for the Staffs/Worcs Canal. This time though I was pursuing specimen perch in a spot that I had ‘discovered’ some time ago when lure fishing. I caught a very good fish then and have returned several times since and complimented the capture.

I didn’t catch anything significant this time round, although I did add ruffe and gudgeon to the numerous perch that I banked. I had lots of bite activity, fishing a worm over red maggots. I have listed the tackle that I fished with below and I hope that’s helpful. If so, I may start doing that for every entry.
