Another day. Another football day. This time it was the UEFA Europa League as we welcomed the champions of Gibraltar, Lincoln Red Imps, to Park Hall.
It was a close game result-wise but we do take a 2-1 lead into the away leg next week. If we win that it’s either Kazakhstan or Denmark in the next round, but as always, it’s about taking it one step at a time.
Working in football is probably perceived by many to be glamorous. Without doubt it’s a great privilege, let’s be honest about that. To make your living from the beautiful game is something that most would probably ‘give their right arm’ for.
Even though I finally got to bed after 1.00 a.m. and was back up again less than five hours later with a trip to Cardiff on the agenda. It’s football though. It’s all good.
Then, following the game and the press conference, I interviewed our manager, Scott Ruscoe, and captain, Paul Harrison. All in all, another busy but blessed day.
