Having broken a Guinness World Record a few seasons back, courtesy of a record-breaking 27 consecutive wins, it was almost another entry this week.
Going down 5-0 on the road in the UEFA Champions League tie pretty much saw everyone write TNS FC off in the return at Park Hall.
Although teams have overturned a four-goal deficit in the competition, a five-nil advantage has been never been overcome.
How close we came though. Going into the break 3-0 to the good, all we needed were two goals in the next forty five minutes to level the aggregate score.
However, just the one goal came. We created chances, had a penalty appeal turned down and even hit the woodwork but it just didn’t work out as the final aggregate score was 5-4.
It was a case of mixed emotions for everyone following the game. Disappointment at exiting the competition, yet at the same time a case of pride at how the players had responded after the first leg collapse in Macedonia.

A day later and I was with TNS Foundation in the village of Llanfyllin. If nothing else I live a busy life. Busy but blessed is how I’d like to describe it though.
