Red Kite, Rock Pipit, Small Copper, Thrift And Great Scenery – Welcome To Ceredigion (835)

My hobbies and interests are wide and varied, and in with the things I love doing is what I would lump together under the heading, The Great Outdoors. I’ve always loved the natural world, ever since I was a child.

It’s often a case of making the most of every opportunity and that’s exactly what I did over the weekend just gone. In Ceredigion (Cardiganshire) for the JD Welsh Premier League awards evening, I also took my binoculars.

The scenery was superb and although I didn’t see any choughs or bottlenose dolphins, as I would have liked, linnets and rock pipits were very welcome indeed.

On the journey there, in Llanarth, I captured red kites soaring overhead. The other images are all from the clifftop at Gwbert.

Both video and photographs are from my iPhone; the quality of modern technology is excellent.

What a good weekend it was from both the perspective of the football and also that of the great outdoors.
