I’ve been doing plenty of lure fishing this week – 10 sessions in fact – and if you’re a regular reader of my blog then I won’t go through the reasons why I enjoy it so much, other than for the benefit of anyone checking in for the first time. In that case, it is pretty much a way of getting lots of outings in when time is tight.
As per last week’s blog entry, I produced a video and you can check that out below. I filmed it over two sessions, both very short, and I managed to catch each time as well. I set myself the target of 4oo trips this year and as I see another week out, I’m on 274. They say that you can never have too much of a good thing and that’s definitely true as far as fishing is concerned.
For those who are interested in the gear I’m using for my jigging it’s a Fox Rage Ultron rod and reel with Sunline braid. This week I was using 2g jig-heads and a brightly coloured lure as you can see in the video. It’s a great way of fishing and I’m certainly enjoying it at the moment, which is what it’s all about.
